• With the circuit board removed your phone should look like below. A ribbon connector (circled) needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug.

• Now turn the circuit board over. The screen is held in place by double sided tape so to release it slide something like a credit card in-between the screen and circuit board.

• You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.

HOW TO Repair guides for Apple iPhone disassembling

Tools required for disassembly: iPhone opening tool, Phillips screwdriver, needle/drawing pin/paperclip or something similar.

• First remove the sim holder. To do this, push something like a needle into the small hole at the top of the phone. Push down and the sim holder will pop up.

• The sim holder should now be removed.

• Use the opening tool, or something strong with a thin edge (something plastic is best because a metal tool will damage the case), to pull the antenna cover off in the direction of the arrows. Some force is required.

• You should now have the antenna cover removed.

• Remove the three screws, circled below.

• Run your opening tool around the join of the back cover. Some force is required.

• The back cover should now be loose. Carefully lift it away from the phone. It will still be connected by a ribbon cable. The connector (circled) attaches like a plug and socket. Lift it up and it will unplug.

• You should now have the back cover removed. Now remove ten screws around the outside edge of the phone.

• With the ten screws removed you can remove the silver bezel, as shown below.

• Your phone should now look like below. Three more connectors need to be disconnected (circled). Do so by using pushing a small screwdriver underneath then levering them off. Remove the three screws, indicated by the arrows.

• Now pull the circuit board away, like below. It'll still be connected by some more wires so don't try and remove it completely. The battery now needs removing. It is held in place by some very tacky glue. You need to try and slide something underneath the battery to lever is out. An old credit card cut in half should do the job.

• Your phone should now look like below. The battery and circuit board should still be connected to each other. You'll notice that four connectors (circled) disconnected when you removed the circuit board.

• Lever out the mic, shown below.

• The LCD screen and digitiser (touch screen) are held on by three clips on each side. Lever the metal clips back slightly.

• The LCD screen and digitiser are still held in place with tacky glue at the top and bottom. If possible, use a hair dryer to heat the glue up to make it easier the remove the screen. Then push something like a credit card in between the screen and the rest of the phone to help release the screen. Once the screen is loose, turn the phone over and you'll notice a few ribbon coming away with it. Ease these through the back of the phone so that they don't get damaged.

• You should now have the LCD screen and digitiser removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.

• Remove your back cover, battery and sim. Move the slide up and then remove the two circled screws.

• Starting at the top of the phone, run something like a credit card around the join of the front cover to release it from the rest of the phone.

• With the front cover removed your phone should look like below.

• First remove the earpiece by levering the black part at the points indicated by the arrows. Then slide something like a credit card under the left side of the LCD screen. Try not to lever the screen just slide the card under it until it releases.

• With the earpiece removed your phone should look like below. The LCD screen is still attached by a ribbon cable. This attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug.

• You can now remove the screen, as shown below. If you only want to remove the LCD screen then you don't need to go any further.

• Turn the phone over and remove the six circled screws. The two at the bottom are the smaller size screws. Remember this when you put the phone back together.

• Now open the phone like a book, as shown below, noting that a ribbon cable is still connected on the left. Be careful not to damage this. Now lever the circuit board away from the rest of the phone. Just use your plastic tool to pry it away around the edge of the circuit board.

• Your should now have the back of the phone and circuit board separated. A ribbon connector (circled) needs to be disconnected. Again, it attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever this up to unplug. The ribbon cable then slides through the gap in the circuit board.

• The keypad will be loose at this point and you can now separate all the main parts of the phone, as shown below. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.

Microsoft’s giveaway of a free Windows Media Center upgrade may have a curious side effect: allowing pirates to pick up a free copy of Windows 8 Pro direct from Microsoft itself.
The Media Center upgrade, which Microsoft is offering through January 31, 2013, includes Microsoft’s tools for watching and recording live TV. However, applying the upgrade has an unintended side effect: It permanently activates the copy of Windows 8 that you’ve applied it to.
That provides a neat workaround for pirates who exploit a weakness in Microsoft’s Key Management Service (KMS) to get temporary access to copies of Windows 8. Normally, KMS provides a way for corporate IT people to activate copies of Windows on a local network without having to make each PC contact Microsoft directly for authentication during the install process, but it has also given rise to pirate KMS servers, which hand out activation keys over the Internet. With KMS, you need to re-activate Windows every 180 days, making this sort of piracy rather limited in effectiveness.
